Last week, Glen Lake Elementary held their inaugural CommUNITY Day, a day that put students who receive adaptive Physical Education services at the forefront as star athletes!
From the very beginning, 5th graders were at the center of the planning process, leading the way with their ideas, energy, enthusiasm, and creativity. Staff and students came together to celebrate the athletes by shining a spotlight on all they contribute to the school community each and every day.
Inclusivity is a core value at Glen Lake and across Hopkins, and this event brought that value to life. A special thank you to Julie Ellingson, Adaptive Physical Education teacher, for pouring countless hours into this event, along with the staff, students, and volunteers who helped bring it to life.
