Hopkins Schools leading the way in LETRS training
During our staff kick-off week, over 250 preschool-12th grade teachers participated in the first session of the 2024-25 LETRS training. Hopkins Schools began staff training before the MN READ Act, allowing us to have more trained staff than surrounding areas and enhancing our commitment to student success. Teachers from Early Childhood through Volume 2 began their training with activities focused on reading simulations, oral language development, early predictors of reading success, and the science of how reading occurs in the brain. Data from previous cohorts highlights the positive impact of LETRS-trained educators on student reading achievement.
